'South Yorkshire siren' Myra Dubois leads cast of The Little Mermaid: Musical at Scarborough Spa
The new ‘laugh-a-minute’ musical pantomime reimagined by David Phipps-Davis will come to the venue’s Grand Hall on Saturday August 7.
The much-loved tale of rebellious Ariel, a mermaid princess who craves to explore the world above the waves will feature a cast of eight multi-role-playing actors lead by West End sensation and Britain’s Got Talent semi finalist, the multi-award-winning, internationally celebrated self-declared ‘siren from South Yorkshire’ Myra Dubois as the villainous sea-witch, Ursula.

Executive producer for APL Theatre, Antony Stuart-Hicks said: “After the substantial pause in live entertainment, theatregoers, especially family audiences have an appetite for cultural engagement that needs to be provided for, The Little Mermaid is perfectly timed to cater for that need.
"We are delighted that we have been awarded ‘See It Safely’ accreditation through SOLT and UK Theatre putting our audiences safe in the knowledge that alongside our venue partners, we are doing everything possible to keep our audiences and staff safe.
"After such a gloomy and desperate time, our production will focus on tons of fun, laughs-a-plenty, a memorable story and giving our audiences a wow-factor show that has been worth waiting for.”
