The weather is set to be warm but unsettled this weekend on the Yorkshire coast, according to the Met Office.

The Summer weather is yet to hit the Yorkshire coat, with this weekend predicted to stay wet, breezy and mild.

Temperatures are expected to be warmest on Friday, but will get cooler on Saturday and Sunday.

The pollen forecast is set at ‘mild’ for the weekend.

Here’s the weather forecast for the Yorkshire coast this week, according to the Met Office:

Today:

Rather cloudy, with some brighter periods, and the odd sunnier spell, most likely later in the day. Occasional showers are also likely, especially by the afternoon. These heavy at times, and with the odd rumble of thunder possible.

Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Winds may be around 18mph, making it feel like 13°C.

High tide in Scarborough is expected around 10:35am and low tide is expected at 17:14pm.

Tonight:

Heavy showers or thunderstorms continuing for some. However, many parts drier and turning chilly with skies clearing, especially after midnight. Cloud perhaps thickening for some southwestern parts by dawn.

Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Saturday:

Any early cloud clearing and breaking to give another day of sunny spells and occasional showers, heavy and thundery at times. These perhaps slower to clear than on Friday. Cool.

Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Winds may be around 19mph, making it feel like 11°C.

High tide in Scarborough is expected around 11:36am and low tide is expected at 18:14pm.

Sunday:

Cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning. Possible early heavy showers Sunday, perhaps slow to clear where they occur. A few showers remain possible into Monday. Temperatures near average.

Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Winds may be around 22mph, making it feel like 13°C.

High tide in Scarborough is expected around 12:39pm and low tide is expected at 19:12pm.
